turn on "2d geometry in 3d" and "sheathing outline"
ELEMENT_Walls must be visible to see any 2d graphics buried in wall assemblies. this means you can't cheat with a hybrid system, but also you stick to the usual way of tagging.
when using 2d...
Light viewports turn on > wall_symbol
Heavy viewports turn on > wall_2d
Hatch viewports turn on > wall_2d
Plan Detail uses framing!!!
Unlikely that I would use these tools for a renovation. Great for new construction!
while a hybrid system is possible, this drawing set assumes you are all in on medeek's tools and tags. you can use the ConDoc Tags to broadly categorize assemblies, but traditional condoc modeling is not recommended.
Also great for drawing quick assemblies that turn into details. check out their cad detail library too.
don't assign ELEMENT_Wall tag to walls since doors and windows are buried inside of walls. Rely on the Medeek tags to control visibility. could add an "ELEMENT_Medeek Wall" tag? This would enable hybrid system, but I don't recommend it. Or I need to turn on ELEMENT_Walls for light viewports that show doors and windows, wall geometry turned off using Medeek tags.
you can bury ConDoc Tags inside of Medeek assemblies, but on regen they are cleared. ConDoc Tags assigned to the outside of assemblies remain intact.
only addresses foundation, walls, and truss.
color plans are challenging. how to apply finishes? ELEMENT_Interior Finishes tag?
